Review by R James Tobin of

This is a review from R James Tolbin, published on 3rd July 2016:

“This transcription for a plucked instrument naturally sounds very different from the usual performances on the instrument for which Bach wrote the piece. However Bach himself was no stranger to transcribing music written for string instrument to keyboard, when he transformed Vivaldi violin concertos to harpsichord concertos. For that matter, pieces Bach wrote for harpsichord are regularly played on modern pianos by some of the greatest modern pianists–more usually than not, in fact. So enjoy this presentation of a great old work in a very new sound. The playing is clear, delicate even, and quite pleasurable..”
